Intro

I am a Software Engeneer working at the Universita' di Modena e Reggio Emilia. In 2001 I obtained the Dottorato (PhD) degree from the Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informatica e Sistemistica (DEIS) of the University of Bologna. I worked with Professor Sonia Bergamaschi and my tutor was Professor Claudio Sartori

now I'm working since 2006 as Computer Science Technician at DII. My roles are Manager of the Campus Network and Web administrator (of Mediawiki).

since 2009 Partner of the company DataRiver (http://www.datariver.it/) a data integration university spin-off.

since 2004 designer and developer of the Production and Quality management web tool for a Biomedical manifacturer M4 s.r.l. (http://www.m4make.com/).

2001 I worked till the 2006 as Software Engeneer in Democenter (http://www.democentersipe.it/) as design and developmer of Web applications. I was the designer and main developer of the Iungo (http://www.iungo.it/, http://www.impresaestesa.it a supply chain order negotiation tool) and P2P (* a secure and distributed traceability system) projects.

Academic experience

now I'm part of the DBGroup research group at the Universita' di Modena e Reggio Emilia. My role is designer and developer of the Source integrator tool MOMIS.

2002 Part of the SEWASIE european project (search engine for accessing to heterogeneous data sources via semantic enrichment using ontologies)

2000 Reference engineer for the development of the MOMIS prototype (Integration of Multiple Information Sources)

1999 Six month visit at the Northeastern University (Boston, USA) working with professor Kennet Baclawski on an Information Retrieval project based on ontologies.

1998 Participation at the development of ODBTools prototype (OODB schemas supporting schema validation and reorganization)
